The Definition of Priceless

Dad and Mom

These two are truly priceless to me...they have NO IDEA how much this statement rings true in my daily life.  They are "where I came from...WHO I came from". I'm so blessed to be able to call them Dad and Mom...and really that is even an understatement.  One of my life mottos was "I would rather be spoiled with LOVE than with THINGS."  Things...like beauty...fade in time - but a family that loves unconditionally and wholeheartedly...that's ...well... PRICELESS.  These two showed my brother and I that kind of love every day.  Every Single Day of our lives!! Was it perfect and happy all the time...NO...tough, true, unconditional love is hard at times...but SOOOO worth it!  No matter what happend, I NEVER doubted their love for me...EVER!  I pray that God will use Adam and I in Connor's life the way He's used and continues to use my parents in my life.

CHRISTmas Morning!

For the first time in close to 15 years, I got to spend Christmas morning with them (THEY got to spend Christmas morning with us).  Connor was beside himself knowing that "Nana and Grandaddy" were going to be there to see what Santa brought him.  And if the truth be told, I was just as excited!! And by the way, if they see this picture of them, they will probably want to "ring my neck"...but it's the most recent one I have so there you go.

From my family to yours, I pray your Christmas was blessed and that you will have a HAPPY and  prosperous New Year!!

A Special Treat

Last night my family and I were fortunate enough to attend a pre-screening of the movie "Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader."  Can I tell you...I was BEYOND excited!  First we stopped at The Flying Biscuit - an awesome little restaurant on Piedmont Avenue in Atlanta. It was here that I think my 6 year old son turned this trip into a date night without even realizing it!  Before I could turn around, Connor headed over to Caribou Coffee with these two:

Sarah and Erin

And that's where it all began!! He got a hot chocolate bought for him before the movie even started.  Once we got to Atlantic Station, my little man did not want to sit with us. He ended up sitting with Ms. Sarah and Ms. Erin.  He even shared his sour patch kids with them! Yes, his "mama raised him right!"  I think my sweet boy was a little smitten with these two ladies - and he doesn't even KNOW what that word means!!

The movie was AMAZING!!  You MUST go see it - they did everything but speak the name of "Jesus".  There is so much symbolism in this movie I think I could watch it again and still not catch it all.  I will blog later on who the actual event was sponsored by but for now, I'm still grasping the fact that I have a little "charmer" in my house and he's only 6!!  Please PRAY for us! ;~)  I mean really...look at this kid!

a.k.a "little charmer"
All in all it was a wonderful night!  Not only did we get to spend the evening with some really great friends - but what fun it was knowing we were among the first to see it!!  I felt like a kid in a candy store!

GO SEE THE MOVIE! :)

Crunchy Yummy Goodness

So today was the day to make cookies  - not just any cookies...Peanut Butter Cookies!

This is my Adam - my best friend...and I'm fortunate enough to get to call him my husband.  He absolutely LOVES peanut butter cookies...LOVES them. I have to brag on him in that I could make almost anything sweet (for that matter...ANYTHING to eat), and he will eat it...love it...and never complain. This means a lot to a southern girl who should have paid more attention when her mama and daddy were in the kitchen!  I am not the greatest of cooks...love to cook, try new recipes...but can't stand to CLEAN - therefore the whole cooking and baking thing...well...it doesn't happen very often.  But when it does, both of my boys (big and little) eat it up.  And I am thankful they do.  Did I mention how much Adam loves these cookies...I'm 99.999999999% positive that these will be gone by 7:00am tomorrow morning.  I've had ONE. :)

A New Adventure (this could be scary)

Okay so I am totally new to the blogging world - it's quite possible I know so little about it that it's enough to be dangerous.  We will soon find out.  So many of you in the blogging world post daily (I admire you)...I hope to be able to post...well...monthly. :)

But, whatever the post and however frequent or infrequent, I do hope that in this blog you will see my love for the Lord and my love for my family. So...sit back...and enjoy...and wait for the next post.
